Besides Nida Dar, captain Fatima Sana remained unbeaten, scoring 37 runs off 23 balls, with 3 fours and 2 sixes. Aliya Riaz also chipped in with 17 runs off just 7 balls, including 2 fours and 1 six. Chasing Pakistan’s record total, South Africa’s start wasn’t great, as they lost their first wicket at just 12 runs. A half-century partnership followed for the second wicket, but they quickly lost their third and fourth wickets. Even though they didn’t lose any more wickets, South Africa couldn’t chase the target. In the final over, they needed 23 runs but only managed to score 10. By the end of their 20 overs, South Africa had scored 168/4, falling short by 13 runs.
